Lovettsville is known as “The German Settlement” and was established in 1732.It is proud of its German heritage which becomes the focal point of the community when it holds its annual three-day Oktoberfest celebration.The event is held at the end of September and is located in the historic area of Town.Annual attendance is typically around 4,000 people who have enjoyed the variety of street vendors, the varied entertainment and the tasty German fare.
